1 cup uncooked jasmine rice, cooked per directions
1 head romaine lettuce, chopped
1 head of butter lettuce, chopped
1 large can mandarin oranges, drained
1 can sliced water chestnuts, drained
1 cup bean sprouts, fresh
1/2 cup chopped green onions
1/2 can chow mein noodles

Optional additions:
Cherry, grape or pear tomatoes
Chicken, cooked and sliced, or tofu chicken strips
Bamboo shoots

1/2 cup sesame oil
1/4 cup seasoned rice vinegar
2 tablespoons sugar
1 tablespoon sesame seeds

Heat the dressing on the stove just until the sugar dissolves. Mix all of your favorite ingredients in a large bowl. Toss with the dressing until well covered. Makes 6 generous servings.
